EPSO AD5 2026 Online Tests: TAO Platform, Remote Format and Official Samples

EPSO AD5 2026 preparation is not only about knowing the syllabus. It is also about getting comfortable with the online testing environment before the real tests arrive.

The official EU Careers competition page for graduate administrators identifies TAO, operated by OAT, as the test provider for this competition. The Notice of Competition also explains the official AD5 test areas and the only fixed administrative dates already published: applications ran from 5 February to 10 March 2026, and supporting documents are due by 7 October 2026.

No official exam date is added here. If a date is not in the official notice or on EU Careers, do not build your plan around it.

The official AD5 online test map

For AD5 2026, candidates should prepare across six areas:

• Verbal reasoning
• Numerical reasoning
• Abstract reasoning
• EU Knowledge
• Digital Literacy
• EUFTE Written Test

That means a realistic online practice session should not stop after verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning. Those are important, but they are only part of the competition.

What “online test preparation” actually means

Good online preparation has three layers:

1. Content: you need to know the official test areas and practise the relevant skills.
2. Timing: you need to answer under time pressure, not after unlimited reflection.
3. Interface discipline: you need to read carefully on screen, avoid misclicks, and review explanations without rushing.

The third layer is often underestimated. Candidates may understand a question when reviewing it calmly, but lose marks because the online format pushes them into fast, shallow reading.

Use official EPSO sample tests first

Before buying or using any preparation platform, open the official EPSO sample tests. Their purpose is not to predict your final score. Their purpose is to familiarise you with the style and the type of task EPSO uses.

After that, use structured practice to build volume: timed sets, repeated mistake review, and coverage across the full AD5 map.

A practical AD5 online-test routine

• One short reasoning session: verbal, numerical or abstract under strict timing.
• One Language 2 content session: EU Knowledge or Digital Literacy.
• One written session per week: EUFTE outline, then a timed answer.
• One review session: collect mistakes by reason, not just by topic.

For example, “wrong because I rushed the wording” is a different problem from “wrong because I did not know the EU institution”. Your review should separate those two.
